On December 6, 2024, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Mambetzhanov M.T. and Chairman of the Management Board of the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Temirbekov M.A. met with the delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB) headed by Vice President – Mr. Kyriakos Kakouris.

The delegation welcomed the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the establishment of the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, noting that such institutions provide additional opportunities for cooperation with international financial institutions on the development and implementation of instruments and initiatives relevant in the world global agenda.

Noting the importance of the initial consultations between the State Bank and the EIB in Samarkand in September of this year, the parties discussed a wide range of areas of cooperation, in particular, the prospects of joint financing of infrastructure projects in the Kyrgyz Republic with country and regional significance, financing of “green projects”. The parties also expressed their intention to sign an agreement on financing projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
