Financing of import operations through the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus

Options

Own contribution
The purchaser’s own contribution in monetary terms of Belarusian goods and services must be at least 15% of the cost of goods and services.
Provision for financing
• Guarantees of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, guarantees and sureties of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic and international financial institutions with a recognized international reputation;
• Guarantees of the Guarantee Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic;
• Government securities of the Kyrgyz Republic;
• Real estate, including land plots;
• Equipment, vehicles;
• Sureties of third parties, the acceptability of which is assessed in accordance with the Credit Policy of the Bank;
• Other types of security in accordance with the Credit Policy of the Bank.
Repayment schedule
• Annuity payments
• Individual schedule, with repayment of the principal debt outside the grace period at least twice a year
Grace period
For interest repayment - up to 9 months;
For principal repayment - up to 12 months.
The grace period for interest and principal may be specified depending on the specifics of the purchased goods and services after agreement with the BRRB
Insurance
The need to insure the delivery of goods from Belarus is determined by the authorized body of the Bank, based on the terms of the agreement for the delivery of goods.
Interest rate for misuse of credit funds
In case of misuse of credit funds, the interest rate increases to 20% per annum. The increase in the % rate is carried out from the moment the fact of misuse of the loan is established.
Special conditions
• Financing is carried out by transferring funds from the BRRB directly to Belarusian suppliers;
• Reverse export of purchased equipment outside the Kyrgyz Republic is prohibited;
• Financing of goods/services prohibited for import according to restrictive measures (sanctions) is not carried out
Restrictions
The Bank does not provide:
• unsecured loans;
• loans to individuals;
• loans in the presence of overdue obligations on previously issued loans;
• loans to the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, other government agencies and local governments. The Bank also does not finance:
• gambling business;
• military industry;
• areas where forced child labor is used;
• activities associated with the financing of criminal activity and the legalization (laundering) of criminal proceeds;
• trade, production and other activities related to the use of weapons;
• types of activities prohibited by the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
