From September 8 to 12, the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic held a series of official meetings with World Bank experts as part of the mission’s visit. The visit was dedicated to deepening cooperation with the State Development Bank and preparing for the upcoming launch of the project “Development of sustainable financial markets for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)”, within which the Kyrgyz Republic will receive financing in the amount of 120 million US dollars. During the negotiations, the parties discussed in detail the details of the project, the degree of readiness for its launch, priority areas of support, as well as issues of further interaction. The project is aimed at expanding MSME access to financial resources and promoting sustainable “green” financial solutions.
The World Bank delegation highly appreciated the contribution of the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic to the process of completing domestic procedures for ratification of the loan agreement and the integrated approach to preparing for the implementation of the project as a whole.
